Double Beam UV-VIS for analytical Optima SP-3000DB

UV-Vis light is split into two beams before reaching the sample. One beam is used as a reference; another beam passes through the sample. The reference beam intensity is taken as 100% Transmission (or 0 Absorbance), and the measurement displayed is the ratio of the two beam intensities. The detector alternates between the measuring sample beam and the reference beam in sync with the chopper. In this case, the measured light intensity can be corrected by subtracting the measured intensity in the dark interval before the ratio is taken.

The instrument specifications are using a Czerny-Turner monochromator with 1200 lines/mm blazed grating. Spectral Bandwidth of 1 nm (190 to 1100 nm)

wavelength range 190 ~ 1100 nm, the photometric range at the time of absorbance -4 to 4 Abs, transmittance: 0 % to 400 %
