Freeze Dryer IlShin TFD8503

It is a method commonly used to dry food and non-food items (e.g. vegetables) to preserve their nutritional content or molecule structure, which is susceptible to high temperature. It runs optimally in the range of -50 to -60℃, resulting in lowered pressure in the sample chamber up to 5 mTorr, which causes the solvent to evaporate immediately.

Test Requirements:

  • The sample can be a solid or a solution.
  • Sample solution with a maximum volume of 300mL for one run
  • Provide your own container/falcon tube
  • Samples have been frozen in the freezer for one night
  • Liquid/solution samples must be frozen in an inclined (not horizontal) position in a falcon tube
  • Specifies how long it takes to freeze dry
